For Post-doc Applicants

Post-doc applicants are expected to have genuine interest to pursue independent research in the area of Digital Twins and Industrial AI with a strong PhD in related field. For PhD Applicants

PhD applicants are expected to have a sincere motivation to pursue a PhD and an identified area of interest. There are a plethora of problem statements at DTAIL ranging horizontally across foundational research in Industrial AI as well as vertically across applications in domains such as Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Defence. The applicant is expected to have excellent analytical and communication skills, along with a good experience in programming and data handling tools.

For IITB Students

For pursuing B.Tech / DD / M.Tech Thesis

Per year vacancies for:

B.Tech Project: 3-4

M.Tech Project: 1-2

DD Project: 1-2

Student allocation will happen as per the department committee guidelines and timelines. However, I encourage the students to engage with the lab before potential allocation through a short focussed project.

For UG Students to work on a project alongside coursework

Vacancies: 4 per year

I encourage IITB UG students to take up focussed short research projects with DTAIL in their V Semester. Students are expected to have a background in AI and programming through completed courses.

Preferred engagement mechanism: ME315 Supervised Learning Project (SLP) or equivalent course in the applicants respective department.

I actively take students for internship and pursuing thesis at IIT Bombay. There are two ways you can apply:
